Ryan & Udita

Made with: Paula Andrea Gonzalez-Nasser Alexandria Sherman

Being alive is very a strange experience that's only gotten progressively stranger in the last few weeks. This weekend I'm texting the owner of a coffee shop I used to write at (back when that was a permissible and morally-responsible thing to do) about buying some homemade pies. I'm looking forward to that.

If you have extra money lying around somehow, some very small NY art institutions that could use some support during this time: Vital Joint (@Theresa-Buchheister), Spectacle Theater (here), The Black Lady Theatre (here) or the Cinema Worker Solidarity Fund (here).

Ryan Martin Brown is a writer and filmmaker from North Florida residing in Brooklyn, NY. He makes movies with 5th Floor.

March 21 | Udita Upadhyaya

Los Angeles

i feel worried and also so grateful that we are caring for each other by distancing. i feel distant and simultaneously part of something bigger.

i feel like it is a moment for yes and + both our true, which is great AND terrifying for my double gemini self :)

i'm stuck indoors and I am with my partner who already works from home, and we already know how not to drive each other crazy being home indoors together all day (and our success rate is not 100%) and i feel way too far from other loved ones, and i feel joyful for the LA sun.

Udita is an interdisciplinary artist who lives and works between Mumbai, Chicago and Los Angeles. Currently she is (physically) social distancing in Los Angeles.
